Definitely start on the easy difficult and do your best to complete every song so you can get as much experience as possible, this will make it easier to move up to higher difficulties. Start slow with this instrument and build it up. I find that most people get extremely confused with their coordination and the bass pedal throws them off completely. In my experience, drums are usually what people consider to be the hardest instrument to learn. The touch strip doesn't work very well and it's easier to just hit the colours rather than move your hand down to the slide bar and back up again. If you do own a Guitar Hero controller with the touch strip then I'd suggest not bothering with it. Basically you are able to play these notes using the touch strip on your Guitar Hero controller though not all Guitar Hero controllers have this feature. These are translucent notes that are connected together with a purple line, try not to get these confused with hammer-ons or pull-offs. If you are really having trouble though then moving down to Easy is alright, just make sure to switch to the Guitar Career instead.ĭuring the tutorials you will learn about 'tapping sections'. In general, guitar is usually seen as being a bit more difficult than bass guitar so starting on the Medium bass career first would be a great option to take.Įven if you fail to begin with, I'd stick with Medium Bass simply because the faster you learn to work with four buttons, the faster you will be able to work with five buttons on the Hard and Expert difficulty. I'd advise starting on the Medium difficulty and immediately making use of all four fingers. I'd recommend playing the guitar instrument first because that way you learn two instruments at once - Bass and Guitar.
